Altroconsumo participates for the first time in the Web Summit in Lisbon
05 nov 2018Under the motto of Artificial Intelligence, Euroconsumers debuts at the Web Summit in Lisbon, from 5th to 8th November, one of the largest events in the world of entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.
During the event, the stand of Euroconsumers will host debates between companies and consumers, addressing issues such as big data, virtual assistants and streaming services. With this in mind, leading market players such as Microsoft, among others, will be represented among our guests.
The team of Euroconsumers includes representatives from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Brazil, to show how it interacts with companies to create added values to consumers. The Euroconsumers' coffee corner at the Web Summit is the preferred meeting point between the market and consumers, where it is possible to have coffee, meet and connect with our guests.
According to Marco Pierani, Director of Public Affairs & Media Relations at Euroconsumers "Web Summit is for us a great opportunity to discuss the urgent need for a different and more dynamic collaboration between the main players in the digital market and consumers, more and more protagonist of the new trends. We aim to promote a more balanced digital ecosystem, characterised not only by the respect for consumer rights but also by a broader sharing of benefits. No product or service can indeed be developed today without consumer data and there is not real innovation if it does not bring benefits to the end consumers and to the citizens”.
Euroconsumers is a leading international group of consumer organisations created to promote and defend the interests of consumers, solve their problems and help them exercise their fundamental rights. The national organisations of Euroconsumers are the following: Test Achats (Belgium), OCU (Spain), Altroconsumo (Italy), DECO PROTESTE (Portugal) and Proteste (Brazil).
