Spett.le DoYouSpain, con la presente intendo formalizzare un reclamo in merito alla prenotazione DYS 195629667, relativa al noleggio auto con il fornitore NU RENT CAR, per il periodo dal 28 al 31 dicembre 2025. Durante la prenotazione ho sottoscritto la vostra assicurazione Platinum, numero polizza DYS 63585108, al costo di circa €25, fiducioso che tale copertura mi avrebbe tutelato da eventuali richieste aggiuntive da parte del noleggiatore. Tuttavia, una volta arrivato al desk di NU RENT CAR, mi è stata richiesta un’ulteriore assicurazione obbligatoria pari a €120. Dopo il mio reclamo, mi è stata proposta un’auto di categoria inferiore, con una copertura assicurativa integrativa di €90, accettata solo per evitare ulteriori disagi. Di fatto, il costo totale sostenuto per il noleggio è stato di €145, di cui ben €115 riferiti all’assicurazione (25 € tramite DoYouSpain + 90 € al desk), un importo sproporzionato e ingiustificato, vista la promessa di copertura "completa" della polizza Platinum. Alla luce di quanto accaduto, richiedo il rimborso integrale della polizza Platinum (€25), in quanto il servizio non ha rispettato le aspettative né le condizioni pubblicizzate sul vostro portale. You can either take the insurance with them or you can leave a deposit. If you don’t want to take the hire companies’ insurance for whatever reason, because you have our insurance, because you have your own private policy or any other reason, then you’ll be required to leave the deposit. Please note that we always try to make sure that our customers are aware of how our insurance works. This is why we inform you on our website, on your rental voucher and again in the separate email we send you with your insurance documents that you need to leave a deposit on collection if you do not take the insurance with the hire company. I’m sorry that you felt obligated to take the insurance with the hire company. If you ever have this type of situation at the local office, we always recommend calling us while you’re there and we can speak to the staff there if necessary to help clear things up. Once you’ve already signed the rental contract agreeing to the insurance, I’m afraid that the hire company are not able to offer a refund. I’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. After reviewing your case with the rental company, they have confirmed that the security deposit required for your booking was €930, exactly as stated on your voucher. The amount of €2,719.67 corresponds to the excess, which is the maximum amount payable in case of damage to the vehicle. This amount is not a sum that should be blocked on the credit card. We regret if the information received at the rental desk may have led to a misunderstanding regarding these amounts. For your reference, we have attached the rental contract provided by the car hire company. According to this document, the insurance purchased at the local office reduced the original €930 deposit to 600 BGN, which is approximately €300. We hope this information helps clarify the situation.
