Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a beige jacket purchased in November 2025 at one of your stores in Paris.
On March 13, 2026, I contacted your customer service department to report a defect in the garment. Despite having taken the utmost care in maintaining the item—washing it only on a delicate 30°C cycle, inside out, and placed in a protective laundry bag—the inner seam of one sleeve came completely undone during the last wash. I also provided photographic evidence of the issue, along with the purchase receipt.
On March 17, 2026, I received your response regarding my request for a refund, suggesting uncertainty about how the garment had been handled. I must strongly contest this position.
Under European consumer law, goods are covered by a minimum two-year legal guarantee. A defect of this nature—an internal seam coming apart under normal and appropriate use—clearly indicates a lack of conformity and is highly indicative of a manufacturing defect, not improper handling.
Given the above, I reiterate my request for a full refund of the purchase price. I am, of course, available to return the defective item for your inspection if required.
I trust that you will reconsider your position in light of your legal obligations and resolve this matter promptly. Should I not receive a satisfactory response, I will consider further action through consumer protection channels.
Yours faithfully
