I am writing to formally file a consumer complaint regarding a serious failure by the company Felirent Srl to deliver a prepaid service.
On June 18, 2025, I arrived at the Felirent office near Milan Malpensa Airport (Via Don Andrea Sacconago 2) with a confirmed and prepaid reservation for a Jeep Avenger (reservation number HQ31208). I waited at the office for over two hours until around midnight, but the vehicle was never handed over to me, without any explanation or assistance from staff.
Due to this failure, I suffered the following financial losses:
• €152 – prepaid rental fee for the vehicle (never refunded)
• €50 – taxi to an emergency hotel
• €507 – emergency hotel accommodation
• €50 – taxi back to the airport the next morning
• €250 – new car rental from another company
Total: €1,009 in financial losses, in addition to significant stress and inconvenience.
I contacted Felirent by email several times, requesting a refund and an explanation. To this day, I have received no reply.
I request the following:
1. Full refund of the original €152 rental payment
2. Reimbursement of the €857 in additional expenses
3. Additional compensation for emotional distress and time lost
I am attaching supporting documents, including the reservation confirmation, receipts, and email correspondence.
I kindly ask Altroconsumo for assistance in mediating this case and helping me recover the funds I am rightfully owed. Felirent’s behavior shows a clear lack of professionalism and responsibility toward consumers.
