I would like to report a deceptive subscription trap involving unauthorized charges processed through Paddle. I recently attempted to subscribe to what I believed was the official ChatGPT service. The payment page I was directed to had an identical layout and graphics to the genuine ChatGPT site, so I proceeded with what I thought was an annual subscription. Only after the payment did I realize that the page was misleading and that many other users have fallen into the same trap. As a result, my card was charged two transactions of €51.56 each, even though I never intended to purchase anything from Paddle or from the service behind this fraudulent page. I immediately attempted to request a refund, but the chatbot system denied my request, providing no real assistance and refusing to acknowledge the issue. I am now left with unauthorized charges and no support from the service provider. I believe this is a serious consumer protection problem, and I am reporting it to warn others and to request that proper action be taken against such misleading practices.
