To whom it may concern,
some 5 years ago, my son offered me a great barbecue. He was told it was the best for wood, not just coal, and I was very happy to have it as we are fan of barbecue meals in Spain.
I set it up, and it looked great.
2 years later, having used it 6 times, the looks were not so good, as you can see in the images included. The barbecue top got distorted as you can see, it did not close anymore.
I wrote to the company, complaining, and their answer was:
Dear Mr. Bensadon,
We examined the photos and the video you sent, and we can confirm you that this problem on the lid is caused by the high stress due to the elevate temperature during the cooking, and it is a normal consequence that does not compromise the normal working of the barbecue.
Consider that when the fire is burning, the flames can reach temperatures between the 500/1000 degrees, and there is no iron that resists these temperatures without a minimal distortion.
For this reason we can guarantee that the barbecue can continue to cook safety, but we cannot replace it because is not a construction fault, but is an effect caused by cooking at high temperatures.
We are sorry that the product will not satisfied you.

I find incredible, they design and sale a barbecue for wood, that atteign very high temperatures, and their barbecue do NOT SUPPORT IT!!!
Look at this great product, and tell me how this can be possible!!! I have used it probably 20 times... always with wood.
The grill cant be fitted in its place, the barbecue seems to have enlarged!!
the handles of the grill got burned!!
I can´t put this piece on its place, the top is so distorted!
corrosion is all over the place
I wrote to them already in 2019, and you read their excuse above!!
Do you believe normal that after 20 uses, such fantastic barbecue is just good to be thrown away??
And the cost was really high.
Look at this other barbecue, bought 60 years ago, used more than 300 times, and it looks perfect!!
