Hello Noleggiare team,
I rented a car from Noleggiare at Bologna Central Station on 11/July/2025 (booking ref [BSC 2318]) for 2 days, and paid a €100 deposit.
After returning the car, Noleggiare claimed a “missing parcel shelf” in the trunk and attempted to charge €230. My credit card was locked and a €130 payment link was sent, which I refused to click or pay.
Key issues:
1. The “parcel shelf” was not present when I pick up the car but it does not look like abnormal for the car to be used or be regarded as a faulty car;
2. No initial inventory, no signed checklist or timestamped photos taken at pickup;
3. Rental agreement (Art. 6) does not specify parcel shelf as mandatory; there is no proof of delivery;
4. Agent at Bologna office even recorded my licence details incorrectly, suggesting carelessness;
5. Noleggiare has provided no documentation supporting their claim—they rely on unsubstantiated statements;
6. The payment link is a coercive tactic and lacks legal basis.
I am requesting:
– Immediate refund of my €100 deposit;
– A guarantee that no further charges will be made;
– No more payment demands via links or unauthorized attempts.
If unresolved within 15 days, I will escalate to ECC‑Net (if eligible), legal action, and public disclosure across Google, Trustpilot, and TripAdvisor forums.
Regards,
Steven Su
