I hereby submit a request for reimbursement of the amount paid for the stay at your hotel from 04/24/2025 to 04/29/25 booked through Lastminute.
This request is based on the fact that, due to the disasters in progress (earthquake) on that date in the planned destination, Istanbul, the conditions for a safe trip no longer existed, making the stay there potentially dangerous for my health and that of my family.
In support of my request, I recall the provisions of European regulation 2302/2015 - implemented in national law with the Tourism Code in force since 1 July 2018, in particular art. 41, paragraph 4 - according to which the traveler has the right to withdraw without penalties and with a full refund, if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the place of destination or in its immediate vicinity, such as to substantially compromise the execution of the package or transportation to the destination.
On 04/24/2025, I contacted Lastminute customer service by phone, who informed you on the same date of my missed departure and the cancellation of the reservation.
I therefore await a kind and prompt response from you, hoping for a rapid resolution of this request, otherwise I will proceed through legal channels.
