Dear Vinted Customer Support,
I am writing to formally complain about a serious issue regarding a transaction on my account, which was blocked at the time of the dispute.
A buyer opened a case claiming that the item measurements were incorrect. This claim was based on a misunderstanding, and I clearly demonstrated that my listing was accurate. Nevertheless, in order to resolve the matter amicably, I offered either a €7 partial refund or a return of the item. The buyer explicitly agreed to the €7 partial refund and closed the case.
However, due to my account being blocked, I was unable to process the agreed refund. I contacted your support team requesting assistance, but received no response.
Instead, Vinted:
- Cancelled the order unilaterally
- Issued a full refund to the buyer
- Did not ensure the return of my item
- Ignored my prior agreement with the buyer
This decision is unjust and unacceptable. I have lost both my item and the payment, despite acting correctly and in good faith.
I formally request:
1. Full compensation 57.6€ for the item and financial loss
2. A clear explanation of the decision made
3. Immediate correction of this case
This situation has caused significant stress and inconvenience. Such handling also risks encouraging abuse of the system by buyers.
If no prompt resolution is provided, I will escalate this matter through consumer protection authorities, including Altroconsumo, and pursue further action.
