Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter.
We are an online platform, so the payment can be made with any card of your choice. However, the car rental company requires a physical credit card in the name of the main driver for the security deposit, as they need to perform a pre-authorization directly on the payment terminal to ensure the funds are securely blocked.
When making the booking, you provide the name of the main driver, and both in the important information and in the terms and conditions, this requirement is clearly stated.
If the previously informed and accepted requirements are not met, and the customer arrives at the office without the necessary documentation, it is unfortunately the customer’s responsibility for not having reviewed and brought the required documents. Without a valid guarantee — that is, a physical credit card in the name of the main driver — it is not possible to release the vehicle.
In this case, the car rental company fulfilled its obligations by having the vehicle available, but the customer did not meet the required conditions.
Considering the above, and given that this booking was made under a non-refundable offer, no refund can be issued.
