Good morning,
We are writing to address your complaint regarding reservation DYI-211157006 at Olbia Airport and your request for a refund.
We must clarify that the requirement to provide a security deposit when declining the local supplier's additional insurance is fully detailed within the contractual conditions of your voucher . According to these terms, if you choose not to purchase the excess waiver directly from Italy Car Rent, a security deposit of 900.00 € must be blocked on a major credit card in the name of the main driver upon collecting the vehicle . This information is standard practice in the car rental industry and is made available during the booking process.
Furthermore, the general conditions explicitly state that this reservation was secured under a special non-refundable offer, meaning it is not possible to cancel or modify the booking.
The policy also specifies that no refund will be given if the vehicle is not collected . Because the payment was successfully processed for a confirmed non-refundable reservation, and the cancellation request was made outside the permitted criteria, we are unable to authorize a reimbursement for the amount paid.
